Laurie Dodd is a most appoachable, dedicated and listening surgeon. My inital referral was via the NHS but I have never had a reason to question why I chose to go private with Laurie, especially since he had to revise both of my knees within a 6 month period this year due to loosening of the originals. On both occasions, Laurie was straight talking but emapathetic, professional and highly skilled. As Laurie has a foot in both NHS and private camps he is ideally placed to not only provide an excellent service but also reduce NHS waiting lists for those able to benfit privately. In addition, due to his history with me and contacts with post surgical physiotherapy, Laurie was able to avoid a significant delay and complication for my second revision for which I am eternally grateful with Laurie making out of band visits post surgery to check my progress. I have made very rapid recoveries from both revision surgeries, in no small part due to Laurie and his team's expertise. I would recommend Laurie and his team with no hesitation whatsoever.

Mr Dodd and his team at Chichester Hospital performed a partial knee replacement in Feb 2024,, I can honestly say the surgery has changed my life. in what is quite a nerve wracking thing to under take, Mr Dodd from the outset filled me with confidence, everything was explained in great detail and my questions answered fully. I can't fault anything about Mr Dodd and the team or the procedure undertaken Thank you seems wholly inadequate

I've recently had a unilateral knee replacement and awaiting a second. I am under the care of Mr Laurie Dodd and found him to be the most caring and approachable surgeon who immediately made me feel at ease and gave me confidence for my forthcoming operation. He explained the procedure at length throughout all visits so that I knew what to expect and gave me very good advice during my first consultation to help me prepare for the op. My stay at the Nuffield via the NHS, albeit short, was a very positive one and I am so thankful to Mr Dodd and all his team for taking such good care of me. The rest, of course, is down to my own determination to get fit again. I highly recommend Mr Laurie Dodd.

I have had arthritis in one of my knees for a number of years and in autumn 2021 decided to seek advice from Mr Dodd . The joint was X-rayed several years ago and more recently I had a few steroid injections from my GP. Mr Dodd arranged for an up to date X-ray and after examining this and listening to my current experience with the knee advised a course of physiotherapy as the best way forward. I am pleased to say that this has enabled me to continue being active without further injections. I was pleased with the speed and ease of getting an appointment with Mr Dodd and with his advice, which came over as unbiased and tailored to my needs as far as possible. I should add that the hospital in Chichester was a pleasant place for the consultation.

I found Mr Dodd to be a professional, warm and engaging doctor/surgeon, who went well beyond what I expected in terms of patient care, reassurance, and medical expertise. I am very pleased with the outcome of my surgery, I was constantly updated and reassured throughout. I would highly recommend Mr. Dodd for treatment/surgery.
